The space
Welcome to Walden Pool House, your own private backyard resort in the heart of Abilene. Like its namesake, it was made for slowing down: a place to trade the rush of everyday life for sunshine, good company, and a little simple living.
The Backyard
Step outside to the main attraction: an in-ground pool with a diving board, a rare find in Abilene. Cannonball off the board, float the afternoon away, then sink into the hot tub as the sun sets. When evening comes, gather around the fire-pit lounge for stories and s’mores, or fire up the 5-burner BBQ grill, stocked with everything you need, and enjoy dinner al fresco at the outdoor dining area. Every corner of the yard carries the same message: relax, slow down, enjoy life.
The Home
Inside, the spacious, fully furnished home has plenty of room for the whole group:
4 bedrooms, each with a comfortable bed, plus blackout curtains so everyone can sleep in

Guests have the entire private home to themselves — all 4 bedrooms, both
bathrooms, the full kitchen, living areas, laundry, and the private
fenced backyard with pool, hot tub, and fire pit.
Garage and private driveway parking on a quiet corner lot — room for work trucks.
Self check-in with keypad for easy arrival at
any hour — ideal for shift schedules and late travel.

Built for business travel and extended stays:
- Flexible arrangements for rotating crews and multi-month projects.
- Convenient to data-center campus, Dyess AFB, Hendrick medical district, I-20, and everyday essentials.
Good to know:
- Pool is seasonal and not heated; the hot tub is ready year-round.
- Pool safety: no lifeguard on duty; children must be supervised at all times.
The home sits in a quiet residential neighborhood on a corner lot — please help
us be good neighbors by keeping noise down after 10 PM. This is a professional,
non-party household.
Pet-Friendly Accommodations
We love welcoming well-behaved dogs to this property! Just a few things to know before you book:
• Pet fee: $75 per pet, per reservation (a one-time flat fee, no matter how long you stay)
• Dogs only, please — we're not able to accommodate cats at this property
• Let us know ahead of time: Please mention your pet(s) when you book so we can prepare properly
A Few Guest Responsibilities
• Please keep an eye on your pet and avoid leaving them alone in the property for long stretches
• If your dog will be alone at any point, they'll need to be crated
• Pets should stay off furniture and beds unless we've said otherwise
• We ask that you cover the cost of any damage your pet causes (charged to the card on file)
• Barking that disturbs the neighbors may lead to extra fees or an early checkout, so please help us keep the peace
Pet Waste
We ask that you clean up after your pet promptly — both indoors and in the yard — throughout your stay. Please do one final check before you check out: any pet waste left in the yard, on patios, or anywhere on the property will result in a significant additional cleaning fee charged to the card on file, so we really appreciate a thorough sweep before you go.
A Couple of Important Notes
We're not able to accommodate cats or exotic pets at this property — if one is brought without approval, it will result in a substantial fee in addition to any repair and cleaning costs. Small dogs can be requested and approved case-by-case before check-in, but unfortunately, we can't approve dogs over 100 lbs (this includes Emotional Support Animals).
