Two years and a row now our dove crew has stayed at the House on Hondo. 5 men and 3 teenage boys this place never feels crowded. The outdoor space is fantastic to unwind, enjoy some horseshoes and grill.

Although the pricing was a little higher than we wanted to pay, it proved to be worth it. It’s a very cute and unique house, that was warm and inviting. It was spacious and allowed us to spread out and relax. Although it was too hot to use it much, we really liked the screened-in porch.

The home was the perfect size and location for our family. We had 2 couples , a teenager, an adult, two toddlers and an infant.  The open areas were not over decorated and allowed the children to roam without worry.  The kids absolutely loved the yard and playscape.  The location was nice because it was close to everything and our family in Hawley.  I anticipate us being back in the near future.

My 14 month old absolutely loved this place. It was baby friendly and he loved running all over the house. I loved how incredibly clean it was. The directions for check in and check out were very clear. Our beds and the couch were very comfortable. The whole house has a super comfortable feeling. You walk in and instantly make yourself at home. My favorite part was that there is a work station/game room. My husband shot hoops holding my son, and i cheered them on as i worked. It was a nice way to spend a little extra time together. I would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had a great time staying at Nathaniel’s place! The kids loved playing in the swimming pool in the backyard and we all enjoyed meals together and hanging out as well. We all were very comfortable as a group of 9 (including kids and a baby). The hosts also stocked the fridge with my family’s favorite beverages (sweet tea and dr. Pepper) which was extremely thoughtful. If you need a place to stay in Abilene for a family I’d highly recommend Nathaniel’s place!

we were in Abilene to help our daughter move to Denver and the home was conveniently located. We found the house well maintained and updated for an older home.  It was hot outside during our stay but the house was very comfortable.  There are quite a few nice restaurants nearby, walkable in cooler weather. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. Would stay there again and would recommend to those looking for a place to stay near downtown Abilene

The address they gave doesn't take you to the right spot. You also have to pay for non-refundable damage coverage to even get the door code. I'm not staying here again.

Thank you for your feedback! The damage waiver / fully refundable deposit option is clearly disclosed in every listing. It certainly is in no way intended to be a trap. It’s a very clear note in the description of the property.   All the workers and crews in town, combined with the lack of responsibility taken and OTA follow-through on damage coverages, have made that step necessary.   I’m not sure where the wrong address was communicated. I deeply apologize for that issue!! The address appears to correct, and the listing pictures and signs at the property showing the location all appear to be in tact. We did formerly have a confusing address associated with the listing. We’re trying to locate that if we missed an instance and remove it, as that definitely could have slipped through somewhere. I’m so sorry you received old information!!

This place is decent and clean. Bed is very uncomfortable for me, but I like a firm/soft mattress. It’s way too soft for me. You can hear the person next door to you. The neighbors were very loud and obnoxious when I was there. The neighbors also have a small dog that barks at night. Nathan is so helpful and the place is not far from things so that way you can get to places quick.
