The hosts were kind and responded quickly but it doesn’t make up for the fact that there were lots of little issues throughout our stay, including:
1. No crib at the house on check in even though we specifically messaged prior to booking to confirm we would have a crib. Waited an hr until after 9pm to receive it. Apparently we needed to order it from a portal but that was not communicated to us
2. House smelled of sewer gas. Host offered to send a plumber and we requested they fix it once we leave and they still sent the plumber regardless and he woke up family members from a nap upon arrival.
3. We inquired about a sticky residue on bedroom floor was told it is possibly remnants of a mouse trap- wasn’t the best welcome into the home with our young children
4. AC was dodgy. Hot at night even at low setting and shower curtain wasn’t attached properly and fell on my head
The rental price is exceptionally overpriced for the listing and the issues we experienced. Left feeling regret

We came to Abilene to watch our son compete at the State powerlifting meet. When we arrived at this beautiful Airbnb, we had a special and unique gift waiting for us. Every single detail, from the cute makeup towels, to the coffee maker, and comfortable beds, made this house feel like home for us!! The hosts were so sweet and always very responsive. We will absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay a few days in Abilene. ❤️

We had the pleasure of staying at the Vibrant Artistic Retreat. It was vary comfortable! Nice and quiet for being in the middle of town. The hosts were incredibly responsive and willing to accommodate us in very short notice when our other reservations had to be cancelled by the host for maintenance reasons. Lucky find for us and I’d be very happy to stay again !
